How to play
Every case is fair. The truth is always in the file: no trivia, no guessing, no outside knowledge needed.
- 1
Brief
Read the police report: who died, where, when and how. It takes under a minute.
- 2
Examine
Open every exhibit. Documents are searchable, photos zoom, CCTV scrubs and audio comes with a transcript.
- 3
Interrogate
Read each suspect's statements. When the evidence disproves one, flag it and link the evidence.
- 4
Objectives
Full cases have three objectives. Each one you clear unseals the next layer of evidence.
- 5
Theorise
Pin suspects and evidence to the board, string them together, and rule people out.
- 6
Accuse
One accusation, and only one. Name the killer and cite up to three pieces of evidence.
- 7
Resolve & share
See the full solution and the clues you missed, then share a spoiler-free result.
Scoring
Naming the right killer is worth 40 points. Citing the right evidence is worth 20. The rest comes from accurate objective answers, pace, hints used and how much of the file you examined. Grades run S, A, B, C, D. A wrong accusation means the case goes cold. Revealing a full solution hint caps your grade at C.
Playing as a group
Open a case, choose Play as group and add 2 to 6 names. Cast the tab to a TV. Type gets larger, read-aloud buttons appear, and the accusation becomes a vote.
Accessibility
Every photo has a written description, every recording a transcript. Evidence types use colour, icon and label together. Text size and motion can be changed in settings, and everything works by keyboard.
